I think in doing some of the big things we never think we would do, we might be creating the impressions of who we are. These impressions are things that cannot be interpreted in the moment. They only appear after time and distance make the image actual accumulate into something. Picture something like the strokes of a master painter, which after layers and revisions, allow something intricate to emerge…
So very rarely is the picture complete after something incredible happens, and I think that’s a cause for hope. The amazing, incredible thing leaves room for ripples of goodness. And, alternately, the awful, grievous thing has room for an aftershock of change.
This space has been a chance to honestly evaluate what I do and how I determine value. Wow, what breath can do for our hearts. I want to give that to others.
